About

Amanda Fitzsimons
Kathy Ryan/New York Times

Hi! Thank you for coming to my website! I’m a Brooklyn-based writer and editor who loves a good story and a short bio.

I spent a decade on staff at magazines, including Teen Vogue and Elle, where I was a senior editor in the features department until 2017. My writing has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, The Atlantic, Elle, The Washington Post magazine, The Economist and Glamour.

I’ve been interviewed about my reporting on shows like NPR’s “It’s Been a Minute” and Newsweek’s “Parting Shot” podcast.

I'm also a producer of “Killed,” a podcast about killed pieces of journalism from Audiochuck. (Binge the first season here.)

I can be reached at amanda.fitzsimons@gmail.com
